Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering (EECE) at WashU​

In 2006, Washington University in St. Louis (WashU) became the first university in the world to create a Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering (EECE) by bringing together faculty involved in the interdisciplinary environment engineering science graduate program and the Department of Chemical Engineering.

​​​​​​​​​​​Our department is part of the WashU School of Engineering & Applied Science​. We contribute to solutions for the energy and environmental challenges around the world and focus on research and education in environmental engineering science, energy systems and chemical engineering.
