Missouri Gov. Jay Nixon visited Brauer Hall for a meeting, which was co-sponsored by the Missouri Chamber of Commerce and the School of Engineering & Applied Science.

The meeting featured a presentation on America’s energy future by Karen Harbert, president and CEO of the U.S. Chamber of Commerce’s Institute for 21st Century Energy.
 
Pratim Biswas, PhD, the Stifel and Quinette Jens Professor of Environmental Engineering Science and chair of the Department of Energy, Environmental & Chemical Engineering, gave an update on WUSTL’s energy research during the event.
 
The governor spoke in Brauer Hall’s distance learning center, a room equipped to allow presentations to be distributed live via the Internet.
