Multi-scale Modeling & Molecular Transformation Engineering

The nature of the interactions between different scales (molecular to nano to meso) of phenomena in complex systems in a wide range of scientific fields are explored in multi-scale modeling and molecular transformation engineering.

The knowledge gained from molecular scale studies are extended to engineered systems for the production of chemicals, materials and other commodities. Efficient large-scale production of chemicals and fuels is the domain of heterogeneous catalytic processing and multiphase reaction engineering.
